super-splendid:

Splendid may have always been the naive type of guy, but having this as a date never processed through his mind until Petunia brought it up. It was sort of suggestive, wasn’t it? He meant it in a friendly matter, honest!

Even so, a faint trace of a blush blended in with the red of his mask and he cleared his throat nosily to break the awkwardness. “Time me? You’re on! I’ll race home and make those lickety split!” And like that— he was gone, leaving a gust of wind trailing in his take off.

The hero returned thirty-five seconds later, to his dismay, landing in front of his friend with a basket and a plaid cloth in his arms— appearing slightly out of breath. “Time?” He had a feeling he went over because he took too much time making sure the slices of cheese were perfect squares inside the sandwiches.

Petunia had seated herself in the grass as the time slowly ticked by on the watch that was upon her wrist. She was beginning to wonder if he really could do it in under thirty seconds.

Nope, that was pretty much lost as the seconds hit thirty-one. Then it was thirty-two…Then she felt another gush of wind, automatically assuming it was him. Her eyes glanced up at him as a small smirk lay on her lips. “Thirty-five seconds. Pretty close time, but you still didn’t make it under thirty,” she told him, sticking her tongue out for a moments notice before pulling it back.

“But don’t worry, I won’t think any less of the hero for now.”

Splendid nodded, usually the cold didn’t bother him much, but this year had been exceptionally unbearable… He locked up his house, put in the thickest ear plugs he could find and curled up in his bed for a long long slumber. He didn’t care if people needed him, not this year anyway. Besides, he was making up for his absence now that Spring had come, and he’s been making his rounds more often than usual.

“Looks like everyone is leaving,” He stated the obvious, noticing her watching others pack up their picnics. A light chuckle broke the silence and he turned to face his friend. “I’m hungry too, how about we make a picnic and watch the sunset together?” He asked with a ear-reaching smile. “I can make sandwiches in under thirty seconds!”

As soon as Petunia saw everyone leave, her blue-violet eyes drifted over towards Splendid. Then, she sat there and studied him for a moment. Was he…? No, he was just being Splendid. Poor oblivious Splendid. Maybe she should say something, but maybe she should just let it be.

Nope. She was definitely going to say something. But not in the obnoxious-angry way she would have done if this was a while back.

She had been missing some company, after all. Nothing could hide the fact that her cheeks were heated up slightly.

“That almost sounds like a date, or something romantic you would do on a date,” Petunia teased, but still keeping a light smile. “Oh really? I’d love to see you try and make those sandwiches under thirty seconds. I’ll even time you!”

Placing his hands behind his back and leaning back on his heel, feeling the grass below tickle at his ankles. The hero shook his head to her question and replied, “Just the usual. Got a little time to kick back and enjoy the weather though!” Splendid proclaimed with a short laugh, swinging one leg behind the other while fidgeting with the red wrist band on his left arm. “Great day for picnics, too bad the sun is setting already…” He blinked, then flickered his bright blue eyes to his friend’s own pair. “But it’s not too late, right? Are you hungry?”

Petunia nodded, shifting one of her feet to wear the tip of her shoe was pressing into the ground below. A small smile remained on her face as she spoke, “Yes, it’s nice to see some warm weather finally out after all those cold winter months.” However, she had only been around for the first week or so of Winter. After that, she hibernated. It was part of her nature to after all anyways. She had never experienced such ‘freezing’ weather.

After a moment, her eyes drifted over to all of the other people packing up their picnic baskets and other accessories they may have brought along. It didn’t even occur to her that it had already gotten to be sun-setting time. Then she sat there for a moment, as if pondering over something serious as a light thin frown came across her lips.

“Yeah, I haven’t eaten in the past while, so I guess I should be hungry right about now,” Petunia said, replacing that small frown with another smile.

“Phew, what a day!” Splendid exclaimed, wiping sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand whilst landing in the spring grass not to far from home. It was a very nice day, perfect for flying— and not too much happening in town. Everyone was bustling in the enjoyable weather. Picnics, kite flying, other outdoorsy activities, so therefore, not too much in the saving department.

It was still mid-afternoon, early evening… The hero wondered if any of his friends were about and willing to chit chat. He’d been “hibernating” for the past month or two, and he was itching for a decent conversation about what’s been going on in his absence. From the sounds of fellow citizens and third parties, nothing seemed to peak his interests a whole lot.

Glancing around, a familiar face caught his eye and he dilly dallied towards his friend with a beaming smile. ”What’s going on, Petunia?”

With the sun settled in the sky, it was a bright sunny day. And with that sunny day came perfect weather with the perfect temperature and everything. It wasn’t too hot but it wasn’t too cold.

Strolling along in her dark blue jeans and light blue off-the-shoulder top, Petunia watched her surroundings as innocent kids ran along, playing with their toys and siblings and friends. The day for her had been pretty mellow; securing her house to the point of…well, it was more than just spotless. It was so clean it almost looked like a fake doll house. That was what she wanted others to think. And of course, her hair was pulled up in a ponytail like normal with that green pine-cone scented air freshener dangling from her neck.

“Hi Splendid!” Petunia said with a slight wave of her hand. “Nothing’s really going on. Anything interesting happening, ‘hero’?”

Lee lightly moaned at the friction between them. “Sex is sex! It comes naturally no matter what gender!” She grinded down against the other and took to sucking at her neck, lightly nipping the skin.

Petunia let her hands travel up and tug at the woman’s hair. She already knew some of Lee’s weak-points. “It can get addictive, yes,” she agreed, moaning as the other sucked and nipped at her neck.

“Oh I’m gonna show you! I’m gonna show you the hard way!” She threw the other onto the bed and crawled over her, crashing their lips together.

“Good, then show me~.” She felt the other’s lips crash into hers, her hands traveling up Lee’s sides to rest on her shoulders.

Lee tilted her head and let her hands wander to the others sides, stroking them gently.

Petunia proceeded to wrap her legs around the other’s waist, rubbing them against each other as she chuckled imbetween the kiss. “You seem to be very good at this sort of thing~”
